A Brief History of Our Club
The Keilor Village Basketball Club was the brainchild of group of enthusiastic people consisting Fay Taylor, Lionel Taylor, Ian West, Maureen West, Margaret Walker and Bill Hardiman who in 1985 had been part of the junior committee of the now defunct St. Kilda Basketball Club. They saw the need for a junior basketball competition at the Keilor stadium.
At a meeting at the Keilor Hotel in 1986 they put this into action. They formed the Keilor Village Basketball Club using the red, black and white colours in the uniform that we still use today.
Thanks to the time and effort of these wonderful people we have our fabulous club that we are all very proud to be a part of. At 76 years of age Bill Hardiman was an active member on our committee and our coaching director until his sad passing in May 2014.
